Privacy Policy
Finabel is an ASBL (Association Sans But Lucratif) under the Belgian law. The policy on protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data by the European Union institutions is based on the Regulation EU 2018/1725 on the protection of personal data by the EU institutions, bodies, offices and agencies. Any provision not specified or mentioned in this policy shall refer to the GDPR EU 2018/1725.
What data do we collect?
For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, “personal data” is data that identifies a person, natural or legal, or that can be used to identify a person.
FINABEL informs its users that their personal data, obtained through FINABEL’s website and online events may only be collected for processing when it is appropriate, pertinent, and not excessive in relation to the scope and the determined, explicit, and legitimate purposes for which it has been obtained.
- Personal information: Personal information means information we directly associate with a specific person, (for example) including but not limited to, your name, address, or email address;
- Contact information. We collect information, including but not limited to, about you including your name, address, phone number, and any other information concerning personal data;
- Credit and Financial Information We collect information, including but not limited to, about you to billing purposes, whether it’s account numbers or credit card numbers;
- Network and Device Information. We may collect information about your use of your device and our network, WiFi usage, and performance information as well as data relating to your use of our website, applications, and other products and services.
How do we use your data?
We may use the data we collect about you to:
- Administer your account, administration and accountant purpose and tasks;
- Recruitment process;
- Respond to your inquiries and send you administrative communications;
- Send you personalized emails including news, announcements, reminders, and opportunities from FINABEL.

Personal data collected through the website can be used in FINABEL’s recruitment process.

All these rights shall be executed under the application of GDPR Law and according to the different conditions under which its application shall be considered.
I also understand that I can revoke my consent at any moment and I also have the right to be forgotten and to access and execute the rights mentioned here above. If I revoke my consent you will stop collecting or processing my personal data. I understand that if I revoke my consent, you may be unable to provide contracted products or services to me, and I cannot hold you responsible for that.

How do we collect your data?
- By submitting an application for any vacancy using the form available on our website;
- By asking for information by sending mail (or via our form);
- By using or viewing or website through your browser’s cookies;
- By registering for FINABEL’s activities;
- By using our social networks;
- We may also receive personal data from our partners, such as our partner universities.
Social Networks
At FINABEL we use social networks such as LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram to share our content. We act in the networks as the person responsible for the data we publish, always treating it in accordance with the conditions established in each of the social networks.
The interaction with the Users through the use of these profiles or tools may involve the international transfer of data, of an analytical and technical nature, in relation to the Page and the social network profiles, being the servers of the social network companies where the data provided by the users through these profiles is processed.
Third Parties
FINABEL treats personal data as confidential information. It will not communicate them to third parties under any condition other than those specified in the Policy, such as to achieve the objectives set out and defined above, or under the conditions in which the law requires it to do so.
FINABEL may communicate its Users’ personal information to third parties to the extent that such information is necessary for the performance of a contract with its Users. In that case, these third parties will not communicate this information to other third parties.
When the user provides us with data regarding third parties, either voluntarily or because we require it in compliance with some legal obligation, the User consents to the processing and declares that the data are accurate.
Likewise, the User declares that he/she has proceeded to inform the third parties of the content of this policy and/or of the one that applies to him/her and that he/she has been specifically informed, and of the corresponding rights that in the matter of Protection of personal data assist them. Notwithstanding the foregoing, FINABEL will make every effort to act appropriately in relation to the processing of such third parties.
How do we store your data
Your data is safely stored at a secure server at our headquarters. Our headquarters engage in a high level of security in relation to your data, including but not limited to pseudonymization or encryption.
How long does FINABEL keep the data
In general, the data will be kept (i) for as long as is necessary for the purpose for which they were collected, (ii) for vacancies’ application data will be kept for a period of 12 months or as long as it is useful, whichever one is shorter. Once this period has expired, Finabel will delete your data.
Direct Marketing
In general, FINABEL does not use users’ personal data for direct marketing purposes, unless prior consent has been obtained.
As a user, you may, at any time, unsubscribe from direct marketing campaigns and object to the future processing of your Personal Data for such purposes by sending an e-mail to the address of the Data Controller or by means of the corresponding “unsubscribe” option included in the e-mails.
Who is responsible for the processing of personal data
Every time personal data is collected and processed, we will inform the user of the FINABEL organization who is responsible for the processing, and provide him/her with the corresponding identification data.
